here we are, atop the mountain under this very oriental-looking structure. the women had prepared this wonderful feast of korean barbecue (pork that you put on lettuce, add lots of other side dishes and eat with your hands), not to forget the rice or kimchi. it was so wonderful. we shared our apples, raisins, and granola bars... it seemed rather comical to me the variance in our meals. however, the boys hoarded the apples and raisins, and the young woman in the red with the reflecting visor (kim hir jin) loved the nature valley bars! we found out they are christians, but their english level was very low. i wish sorely that i spoke more korean. and while they were so loving and kind (as most koreans are), it still seems selfish that i should always expect them to speak english. anyway, we got cell phone numbers and names, and mr. adventuresome in the black pointed us the way down the mountain. it was late already, and we had a 4 hour trip back.
