before we get started. i wanted you all to see the masses of people who are out here to hike. holy mackeral. it was packed. and along the trail there were a few stopping points with restaurants and benches for you to sit down and eat (!!), as well as little hal-monis ("grandmother" - it sounds a little like the english word "harmony") selling these honey suckers and pots of cooked bugs. i ate one. can you believe it? i ate a bug... and then i quickly ate some of my honey on my stick. anyway, i am learning a lot about korean culture. :)
