friday night i took a taxi to lauren's place and crashed there. (my taxi driver was so funny. we tried to communicate the whole way, so i used up all 25 korean words i knew within the first minute. he was such a jolly grandfatherly man!) saturday i went on a hike with the teachers at the yeongtong branch of ERC, including wuan jang nim (mr. so) and danny, lauren's manager. here i am with sooyeon and lauren before we head out.
introduction: sooyeon is a new teacher at the yeongtong branch, but because the suji campus has been looking to hire another teacher, she has been covering the 1st class period. she is SO precious, and i think she has been able to connect well with all three of the foreign teachers - carlos, lauren, and i. i've invited her to church, and i think we might try to catch a movie in migeum afterwards. yay! in any case, i know i've found a friend. :)
