Slowly but surely, the pictures are coming...
as i mentioned earlier, here was our saturday night dinner group: ambrose, his wife jackie, brittany, stefanie, and i. i am so thankful to jackie and ambrose for the reminder they gave me of the european way of thinking (if i can be so bold as to lump them all together).
the park has been a wonderful haven this summer. brittany and stefanie introduced it to me several months ago, and i have thoroughly enjoyed the occasional trip. there is nothing quite like green grass, blue skies, beautiful sunshine.... and either the company of a good book or a dear friend. still, i have to admit i infinitely perfer human company since it presents a slight buffer for me
against the constant battle in my head of how well i'm handling koreans' reactions to me. for just a little bit, i can have a mental, emotional break in that arena. and even though i bet the koreans probably shake their heads and say, "those crazy americans sitting out there waiting for skin cancer," i have learned not to care anymore.
