my 1st class yesterday. (L-R) yoon hee in the bright pink w/ white polka dots - i gave her the name sarah. can you believe it? i have the privilege of giving some of these children their english names... the ones they will use (if they so choose) for the rest of their lives. anyway, sarah is a recent addition. yesterday she actually started saying a few things. before she would just GRIN from ear to ear. i think she's ready to start learning. yay!! next is clara, who is learning rapidly. already she is learning to read. she may soon be ready to move to my 2nd class. in the yellow rain coat is jong woo, whom i have named david. he has great potential, but we're in the process of learning how to reach it. :) he's a sweet boy. hiding in the green is danny. yesterday was his first day in my class, but he should soon move to my 2nd class. he can understand and write well. an excellent, eager student. looking at the camera is danny's mournful-looking little sister nina, who didn't say a word the whole class. when danny tried to show her how to write her name, she burst into tears. LOL. she spent the rest of the class drawing little pigs on the back of her writing paper. finally, there's ryan hiding from the camera.
