The Been Briefing

i am stealing a few minutes away from class preparation to get on here... right now i am at school, and my first class starts in about ten minutes.

hello to everyone!! i am sorry that i have been so silent. as of yet i still am without internet access at home, so my communication time is limited. hopefully i can get it today. next in order is some speakers for my laptop, because i definitely can't hear anything now when i try to pop a CD in there... :)

the past week has been a lot of chaos for me, as the campus of ERC that i am working at here in suji is a new one. it has only been in operation for 2 months, and there are already 70 students with the numbers increasing daily. right now i have 4 classes - each 1 hour 20 minutes long. my first class is basically kindergartners. THEY ARE ADORABLE! yesterday was my first day teaching them, and their mothers stayed in the class... absolutely hilarious. it was like the first day of school back in the states - these demure, sweet korean mothers anxious about their children's level of english ability. my second class are at roughly a 1st grade level. they seem more used to a school setting, and they are a lot more talkative. yesterday was my first day with them as well. we did exciting things like read mercer mayer (yes, bekah!! i told them i read the little critter to micah. haha!) and do head-shoulders-knees-and-toes!

oh dear... i gotta run. the kids are arriving. holy mackeral. will continue soon.
