gotta love these kids...

gabriella is also one of my step 3 students. having never lived overseas, she has done a really good job to make it in my class. her spirit is so sweet, and yet her diaries reflect a depth of thought and maturity that just hasn't quite happened in the boys. lol. right now she's the sole girl in the class. poor girl! lol

and here's justin, whose last day was actually tuesday. i believe he said he was moving to the states. T.T (snif snif) justin lived for 4 years in singapore, so his english was the most natural and advanced of all the students. he also brought a great sense of humor to the class, and there were many days he'd have us all rolling. when i saw the words "really cool" in phil's journal this past monday, i knew it was justin's influence. lol.

this is mike, who joined my class about 2 months ago. his english is also good, as he lived in dubai for 4 years a while back. (i can always tell those who have learned english abroad. their speech lacks the heavy korean accent that seems to never go away, no matter how hard they study it here). mike's a quiet guy, but his work ethic is consistent. he completed the foursome of ~11 year old boys: phil, sehwan, justin and him. i know puberty hasn't quite set in because girls still have cooties and the ork-like creatures in Narnia are far "cuter" than any girl's face. lol. i keep warning them that one day that'll change. he he he.
