Reconnecting with Family...

This summer has been very busy so far. The month of June was epic, to say the least. But one of the most memorable times in June was when my sister Rebekah and her husband Bryan came to stay with us for a week. Pulling this visit off took a great deal of work on both our part and on the part of Bek and Bry. The summer is a busy time for the Missions department at Southeast, so it's not easy for me to be absent from work. Thankfully, I was able to get the time off. Another blessing is that Jody is not taking any classes this summer, so he has been a huge help in things like cleaning the house before company comes... or watering the garden in the early morning when I don't have time. And for Rebekah and Bryan, the preparation to come to our home was enormous. Micah and Nathan are getting bigger and in school during the weekdays, but Chloe and Jane are still so young and are home during the day. Also, Jane is still nursing! So Rebekah had to line up a bunch of people to help watch the kids so that they could get away. On top of that, Bryan had to get time off from his job as well as his internship with their church, KingsWay. I am so thankful that they considered it worthwhile to make the effort to come see us!

And I would be remiss if I did not thank my mom and dad for paying for their tickets. Thank you for allowing us the time to be together!

Here are a few snapshots from all the things we saw and did during their visit!

There are more pictures, but this will have to do for now. So thankful for the chance to spend time with my family, as we all grow up and our lives get busy.
