The Been Briefing

the week up to the wedding was very busy for jody and me. we flew in from texas the saturday before, and we had the whole week to knock out 'premarital counseling', obtain our marriage license, buy our hiking gear for europe, all the while... it was jody's first time meeting his in-laws! somehow we managed it, though... and it all came together. jody's family flew in to richmond on thursday. friday was the rehearsal dinner. and before we knew it, it was the day before the wedding. no time to think. still i'm processing it all!

my dear friend lauren came over for a last sleepover. what a blessing she was! as always, she was ready with her camera to snap the last night 'missing jody' shot!

then on august 25. 2007 jody allan been and i were married at my home church west end assembly of God. it was a wonderful day... starting with a beautiful bridal luncheon that my sister rebekah organized for me. she invited all my good college girlfriends for the event. it was truly wonderful to have (almost) all of the ladies who have been so incredibly dear to me and have been a huge support in my life. so, thank you for all your hard work, rebekah! and thank you, christina, for the use of your wonderful home. :)

so here we all are!

i know you're all waiting for the wonderful wedding pictures, but they're not finished yet. we're just as excited as you are to see them!! so... here are a few that some friends snapped just to keep you interested and waiting for more. :)

this last shot is of my (ruth's) side of the family... all the cousins. there are so many, and it was truly wonderful to have everyone together. i felt like i didn't get to see everyone nearly enough... but i hope that soon jody and i can return to the states for a bit and truly spend time with those we love- on both sides.

more wedding pictures will have to come later. but we want to share europe pictures next. yay!
