a few months back, jody and i went on a 24-36 hour trip with our australian friends brad and belle to
the eastern coast of korea. we hopped in their car early saturday morning and drove to the northeastern part of korea to a small, mountainous town called inje. it is known for it's water rafting in the wild, monsoon weeks in july and august.
when we went, however, the water was quite low. it still made for a fun time for all of us, though, as it was the first time for everybody. we arrived in inje, found the water rafting site, and went down the river with some pretty amazing guides, steering us amid a lot of rocks. wet and cold and fairly content afterwards, we got a place to stay for the night and went into town for some delicious budd-ae jiggae, my all-time favorite korean stew!

that night we stayed up late playing the games pass the pigs and killer bunnies. what fun!
the next morning was big. after breakfast, jody and brad decided to bungee jump.

YAY! a successful jump for both of them... with certificates to prove it! (pics only of jody, though)
after bungee jumping, we left the town of inje and headed further northwest to seoraksan national park, but belle was not feeling well. so we decided to head back to suji. overall, it was a great time with friends!
